Podcast Episode 10: The Bread-isode with Farm to Market Bread Company

What happens when you unleash Jeff and Emily in a building full of fresh-baked bread? We end up filled with carbs and shame and covered in crumbs. But also a podcast. A podcast happens!

Listen to the feed me kc Bread-isode or subscribe on iTunes.

In Episode 10 (the Bread-isode!) of the feed me kc podcast, we sit down with Mark Friend (father, founder, breadmaster) and John Friend (son and VP of Operations) of Farm to Market Bread Company in Kansas City’s Waldo neighborhood. We learn about sourdough, starters, and what’s in store for Farm to Market’s new headquarters in The Crossroads.

Then, we waddle back to our Leawood “studio” where we confess to our post-podcasting, shame-filled carb binging (it’s okay if you don’t purge, right?) after Farm to Market sent us each home with one of these care packages:

That said, we can’t fault Farm to Market for our own lack of self control around delicious food, and try as we might, we can’t very well blame them for making things we love to put in our mouths. Plus, we sure did learn a lot about bread from Mark and John Friend.

Now it’s time you grab a little something starchy to gnaw on and listen to the Bread-isode (or just subscribe on iTunes already!).
