This was my last meal out in Austin (hey, Honey, I’m home!). It was a delicious, medium Black and Blue Burger from the Driskill Hotel. Imagine a cheese-and-mushroom-covered steakburger between two pieces of cake; that’s sort of what this burger was like. The fries were perfectly crispy, and I washed it all down with a savory, spicy bloody Mary and about 75 cups of coffee. As I was stuffing my face, I met this guy:
If you’re frequently tuned into the Food Network, you may recognize Daniel Shemtob. He and his food truck, The Lime Truck, won The Great Food Truck Race. I tried to convince him to drive it to Kansas City, but I don’t think he’s into it.
